Medical Boarding Policies

Boarding Policies for Pets with Special Needs

At Action Pack Dog Center, we strive to create a safe and caring environment for all pets. However, due to the nature of our facility and the number of dogs in our care—often exceeding 95 at a time—we cannot always guarantee a calm or quiet environment. Many of these pets are away from home, which can lead to stress, and some may have medical conditions that require extra attention. While we have policies in place to ensure safety, we are not equipped to provide the specialized care necessary for pets that need a calm, trigger-free environment or have advanced medical needs. In these cases, we may recommend alternative care options that are better suited for the pet’s wellbeing.

    • Needs ongoing wound treatment, including cleaning, rebandaging, or medication administration
  • Chronic or Critical Health Conditions:
    • Heart disease
    • Chronic constipation (especially in cats)
    • Symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing
  • Overnight Observation Requirements: Medical conditions that necessitate close monitoring overnight.
  • Conditions requiring medication or treatment that has not been started or maintained.

Check-In Process for Pets with Special Needs

If your pet is elderly or has pre-existing medical conditions, we kindly ask for your patience during check-in. The intake process may take a few extra minutes to ensure we have all the necessary information about your pet’s health.

Important: A parent or guardian must be present during the intake check to provide details and confirm the pet’s condition.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. If you have any questions or concerns about boarding your pet, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
